Of course it makes sense to treat this early rounds as pre-season warm ups, sprinklcwth one or two fringe player - Henry, O'Brian, Poyet, Lee, Nolan, we should scrape past anone at this level.

Not read the thread, but for me this is the correct decision. The U-21's should have more than enough to beat a couple of pub sides, but if they don't is it that really a big deal anyway?Playing your first team, or even close to it in early July is madness IMO.

I was also just trying to get a rough side down on paper and could have googled his favoured formation if I was that bothered but it really wasn't as important for me to get every detail right as it is for you.
You just have to pick and find fault though, pointless trying to have any sort of discussion with you so I won't bother in future.
